It is a difficult thing to do, rebuild a building while still working in it and trying
to accomplish your grade ten, eleven or twelve, but the students of Red Earth know
what they want and are willing to tough it out for things to come their way. During the visit I met Melody the married mother of two with a third on the way and I recall when she was struggling along in grade ten with the hope of one day taking her place in the community with friends and relatives around her and this school will one day have Melody's children working hard on their school work just as she did, always with a smile and always eager to try out the adventure of life, being in sports, participate in drama and be the centre of every social event. There are lots of Melody's at Red Earth with a future for them to create for themselves. |
