On a winter's day

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday, November 21, 2003
Everyone who lives in the Northern temperate climate zone around this world have their own version of winter. We in Canada and Russia experience continental weather patterns and a dramatic change in climate from one season to another. But because our lives are short and what we do with these annual experiences the wonder of the arrival and permanence of each season is something that each of us simply can not ignore.

These pictures were taken Thursday, November 20th and tell me that winter is definitely here. But for each person who looks at these pictures, through the eyes of their experience they may tell much different stories. For a photographer the arrival of the monochrome season when outdoor pictures have several hundreds shades of gray, an equal number of blues and dazzling white.
