This proved very important as very dangerous looking thunder clouds had moved in very quickly, almost without notice. There were several lighting strikes and horrendous thunder followed by 5 minutes of hail and then a pouring rain. We packed up all the gear very quickly and made our way back to the hut as quickly as possible. Now it is hard to describe the magnitude of the lighting and thunder.
