FTLComm - Tisdale - October 12, 1998 Though the weather man warned us about rather unpleasant conditions this weekend, we didn't think this bad was what he meant. Sunday morning arrived with a skift of snow on the ground in Tisdale, while there was ten inches in Saskatoon and about four in Kelliher and Regina. From those locations our family converged on Tisdale as weather conditions worsened. The trip from each community stretched to one hour longer then usual as premature snow squalls hampered visibility and traction. Heading home to Kelliher the truck below came upon a series of heavy trucks struggling to get up a hill on highway 35 near the Naicam turnoff. Jennifer is in Mexico, Carrie in Winnipeg, but the rest of us were here in Tisdale with the turkey and pumpkin pie. |
