Chupa Excavation wrapped up the initial work at the Golden Age Centre construction site yesterday as they finished digging the basement and moved the fill away. Today a couple of volunteers and a worker are putting in the forms for the footings. This vital task must be done before the water and sewer lines can be brought into the site. The centre section of the building has this full basement under it and it looks like perfect construction conditions. Tomorrow afternoon the official sod turner ceremony gets underway at 2:30 with the many people who have worked hard raising money for this project will be on hand with various other dignitaries. This is an important project for Tisdale as it brings focus to the large segment of the population who are retired people.
