FTLComm - Red Earth - November 18, 1999 |
The new home economics lab in John William Head Memorial Education Centre on Red Earth is remarkable. The place is truly the largest home economics lab I have seen and with a large class working at several stations it would really tax a teacher's ability to supervise because of its sheer size. The grade nines were working on learning the fundamentals of stitching by practicing on a Christmas ornament. Ms. Whitecap chatted with me about her family and below is a wounded warrior. Hockey has become a major part of each winter in this community and this player broke his wrist in a game in the Pas when he over extended his wrist in a collision with the boards. |
