We actually to have to consider the price of beauty. Trees add considerably to the ambiance of the streets of this and every other town but we have to at times consider the trade off between appearance and danger. This little shrub on the boulivard in front of the Kin Hall and across the street from the Presbyterian Church seems pleasant enough but look at it here on the right as it blinds the view of South bound traffic on 100th Street (highway 35). This picture is taken from the position of the driver seat of a car waiting to cross or turn onto 100th. The view below is from the same position only looking South where you have a fairly good view of approaching traffic. |
Without anyone getting hurt, even the mildest fender bender costs Saskatchewan drivers a minimum of $2,000 for a couple of fenders and some head lights. Is this shrub worth more and does that value warrant its continued existence in that location? |
