lonely crusade |
David Orchard brought his campaign to Tisdale Sunday as he makes his lonely crusade to win the November 27 Federal election and get himself a seat in the House of Commons. |

good |
Few Canadians have distinguished themselves as true patriots without suffering considerably from their martyrdom After all, being a Canadian is a comfortable thing and as a nation of immigrants we all take the heritage of this land pretty much for granted. We make the assumption that Canada is just a special place and will always be a special place because we are the "good guys." |
deCanadianisation |
The facts of our country are quite different as the good guys have kept a gentile and accepting approach to our neighbours to the South and among us from time to time there have been people who have conspired to give or trade away the most important things about our country for their own personal gain. David Orchard has documented and outlined the process of deCanadianisation in his easy to read book "The Fight For Canada." His matter of fact, straightforward writing style makes an overwhelming case against Brian Mulroney and the reluctance of the present prime minister to take effective action about the diminishing condition of Canadian Sovereignty. |
independent |
From the beginning of the country to the present day Mr. Orchard has shown the insidious step by step movement that even with overwhelming evidence continues. He describes how Norway and Japan have resisted globalisation and made their countries economically more vital and successful than our own because independent self determination is a successful strategy. Ownership of resources, industry and commerce has moved into the hands of Americans and we Canadians have even turned over our transportation system to foreign ownership to the destruction of our own interests. |

idealists |
Politicians, by their very nature work and struggle to get elected, for them the acquisition of power is their goal and seldom do we see idealists move into the political arena motivated by a sense of correctness and universal good. We from Saskatchewan have to plead guilty to having elected many times over idealists and they have had a profound affect on defining what Canada is. Tommy Douglas went into politics because of his condemnation of the depression and as a result we have many institutions that we now accept as making this a better country. Similarly, John Deifenbaker went into politics because of his burning nationalism and it was his downfall as the forces from South of the border and the conservative coconspirators ended his crusade. |

support of |
David Orchard is cut from this same prairie sequence of idealists. He is able to see where we have come from and knows where we are going. He has been able to document his creed in his book and few true Canadians can disagree with his position. But what he needs now is a seat in the House of Commons. Knowing what we have to do to preserve our culture and our land is one thing, but having the will to do something about it requires our support of a patriot. |

crazy value |
Look at the absurdity of the decline in our standard of living in Canada since the adoption of Free Trade with the United States. Notice the crazy value of our dollar, we live in a country with a much smaller debt than our neighbours our economy is as strong as theirs perhaps stronger because of our wealth of natural resources, natural resources which our neighbour depends upon and yet we see the dollar's value continue to decline. Thanks to free trade we are impoverishing ourselves and depleting our legacy. We have giving away our economy and are about to give up free universal medical care so that we can be slaves of the United States. |

most articulate individual |
The poles show that the Liberal party will win the November 27 election with a larger majority than before. That means that this part of Canada will be represented in opposition. It only makes sense if we want Canadian values heard and declared in our House of Commons we should elect the most qualified and most articulate individual running in this riding and that is David Orchard. Check out his book and you will realise that much of what irks us about the way things are have been created deliberately and they can be changed, in fact, they must be changed. |
