Despite this morning's low temperatures the water was fine as a grade two class got their morning swimming lesson. At seven degrees you will notice that everyone is in the pool and keeping their body's in the water including two of the three instructors. This one has the chill covered with a wet suit which seems completely appropriate when we see most of the bedding plants in town covered up to prevent frost damage. As this class was well into their lesson another class had already finished for the day and were on their way back to class. When I mentioned the temperature to a mom she said it was colder yesterday. There was a good sized group of mothers out to encourage their children and sitting in this morning's sun didn't seem that bad.
