Tisdale pool late opening this year
|
|
FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, May 25, 2004 |
|
Every year the Tisdale pool opens on the Friday night
of the Victoria Day long weekend. Well not this year. The pool needed refinishing
and relatively minor task of painting it with paint designed for that purpose but
also paint that will not go on when the temperature is below freezing and this has
been a freezing spring. Once on the paint requires five days to cure before the
water can be put in the pool.
With the frigid temperatures we have experienced in May of 2004 there has been no
period of time to get the job done. The plans were to have the pool open for Sunday,
May 30 but that does not look promising as the work still needs to be done and the
weather is remaining unpleasant.
