It is always great to see a working aircraft, not just a toy for the idyll rich but a machine that has a purpose and is out there getting it done.
This is a 1958 Piper Commanche (PA24) I do not know if this is the 180hp or the more common 250hp version but even the lower powered machine slices throough the air at 150mph. This particular aircraft has serial number 45 so it was among the first of its type and came to Canada in 1975. It was acquired by Combine World of Allan Saskatchewan in January of this year.
From the look of it Combine World is an interesting company supplying agricultural parts to all of the prairies with a strip right on their property so that other aviation minded farmers can come and get the parts they need on the wing.
