FTLComm - Swift Current - Thursday, May 6, 2004 images by : Albert Eckart | ||||||
As we all know it has been considerably warmer in the southwestern portion of Saskatchewan this spring as a farmer north of the city reported last week having completed his seeding of peas and he is now done his mustard as well. While it is still to cold even to seed wheat in the Tisdale area. Mr. Eckart captured these tulips on the south side of his house. These tulips are survivors as they have been able to keep growing year after year despite the ravages of the mule deer who favour these green flowered delicacies. Two springs ago Mr. Eckart was so frustrated with the deer that he ripped up the tulips but from these pictures it looks like he missed these two beauties. These images were taken with a Canon A-60 camera. |
