The Western Development Museums of Saskatchewan are a means for the people of Saskatchewan to preserve and foster interest in the past recognising the achievements and demonstrating how we came to this point in time.

North Battleford and Yorkton are outdoor displays with extensive building and farm machinery displays. Saskatoon and Moose Jaw are housed in really large building that allow for significant size displays but let the visit step into the environment of the past.

Moose Jaw's building located next to highway #1 on the North side of the city has been and most likely will continue to be a work in progress as new displays evolve and almost a constant refurbishing of the layout and presentation of what really amounts to a large number of vehicles.

The most recent redevelopment of this great museum has just been completed and Bert and Marion Shire from Regina took a day two weeks ago and were on hand for the opening of a new season.

We have a lot of pictures and you can see these images by clicking on the thumb nail image to open the picture you have chosen.

Because it was a special opening model railroaders and model engine hobbists were on hand with their displays.
