Each of us as we go through life meeting and dealing with life's challenges, we will make our mark on some people as they will remember us for their particular involvement in whatever we happened to be doing with them. For Bob Penner many people knew and met him as half of the John Bob farm machinery business, others will remember Bob Penner the enthusiastic hockey fan, the solid supporter of his church, the fellow who backed every community project and event with his support and encouragement. All told Bob Penner cut a pretty broad swath in Tisdale, while at the same time being a man who kept and cherished his time with his family. His employees, his friends, his business customers, his fellow citizens all knew and apprreciated just one man for indeed he had mastered the gift of being himself and was quick to smile and always ready to listen.

Some people describe themselves as wearing different hats to identify the various roles they play and work at but there are a few people, and Bob Penner was one of those who had a clear idea of what he was and what he was doing. He didn't wear different hats and perform different roles as he had been able to merge the components of his life into a single theme. His family, his church, his town, his business were one thing and I suspect that made life easier for him for indeed he did well by all those components of life and will be remembered for what he did here in Tisdale and all of the lives he touched.

Our sincerest sympathy goes to his family, friends, co-workers and all who will miss "Bob". His struggle with cancer ended this week and his life will be celebrated tomorrow at the Catholic Church.
