Sunday Morning Considerations |
FTLComm - Tisdale - August 13, 2000 |
Almost deserted as we look North up main street around nine this morning. The clouds fill much of the sky and only a short while later delivered a few lost drops of rain. The picture on the right was taken around 10:30 and as you can see the clouds have thickened up a bit more. Police were on the job this morning investigating a minor break in at Hannigan's no report of the damage or loss is known but it did not appear that serious damage had been done. Speaking of damage on Friday FTLComm was making up quotes for a |
customer in Duck Lake who surprised burglars in her house though, not seriously injured
she was definitely shaken by the incident and lost most of the valuables in her dwelling.
The damage was more severe than the theft as the attackers destroyed rather than
stole most things. Her friends pitched in and it took seventy-two hours to clean
up after the break-in. A week ago Friday a neighbour told me he was going in for surgery to have a kidney removed on Monday. The surgery turned out to be successful but my good neighbour died on Tuesday from heart failure. One wonders will the surgeons be paid for the operation even though it killed the patient. If they are we should consider very carefully no-fault surgery. Phillip Lindenbach a contributor to Ensign and noted writer from Weekes who has a letter to the editor in this week's issue of the Tisdale Recorder suffered a stroke this week, was taken to Saskatoon, but is back in Tisdale hospital recovering. Phillip is eighty-six and has marched through life with few illnesses. Though he suffered some damage his friends and family are wishing him every hope for recovery. Speaking of injured friends. This fellow in the picture below looks to have suffered a flying mishap and dinged his left wing. He was making is way through a Tisdale neighbourhood this morning on foot with that left wing hanging down. |
