Ernesto Sto Domingo drowned at this beach in Anicinabe Park in Kenora Ontario, August 14, 1994. No lifeguard was on duty and there was no life saving equipment available then or when this picture was taken at 2:03 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Ernesto's 13 year old nephew Ariel got into trouble attempting to swim from the beach to a raft. Ernesto, was not a strong swimmer, he attempted to save Ariel but drowned in the attempt. The nephew was rescued by two bystanders who managed to get Ariel onto this floating bridge.
