The village of Lake Lenore is dominated by the imposing environment surrounding St. Anthony's Roman Catholic church the historical cabin across the road from it is distinguished not only as the first dwelling in the area but also as the first place to hold Mass. Each Saskatchewan community has in some ways paid tribute to its war dead but in Lake Lenore this takes the form of a beautiful and solemn shrine to the Blessed Virgin. The community's school is architecturally unique but unfortunately a picture can no do it justice because of trees and perspective. But as a souvenir of Lake Lenore we have selected this one house with its interesting lawn ornament to represent the community. Unfortunately we can not show you the fine gardens in the village with their great looking potatoes. | ||||||||||
