David Anderson's view of the CWB   TuesdayNovember 21, 2006
 by : Henry Neufeld
Waldeck : The ideology not the economics or practicality of issues like the Canadian Wheat Board are hard to argue rationally. Member of parliament David Anderson sees no reason to rely on facts and figures but bases his arguments for the disbanning of the institution on simplton ideological theory. That may be politics but it will not pay the bills down on the farm.

Prince Albert : Though difficult to conceive we are an intellectual abstract form of life and our actions and motivation is largely shaped by the words we use. Words that form a framework for thoughts and since we depend so heavily upon communication the future of our society hangs in the balance of what we mean.

"...and peace be with you..."   ThursdayNovember 9, 2006
 by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : It would be nice for the sun to shine but at this time of the year we often get weeks of solid overcast and we have to learn to deal with the glum. Dealing with things is part of living and for many of us a very difficult part of our day to day experience.

Intergration into the United States   WednesdayNovember 8, 2006
 by : David Orchard
Borden : Canadians have strugged with their national identity since confederation and yet we are making progress as we come to understand better and better how we are not like Americans. Oddly enough, we now have a prime minister who does not share that same view as his countrymen and instead seems hell bent on rounding up the country and heading south to embrace Yankee values.
