Louis Dreyfus begins the task
of shipping mammoth wheat pile

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, May 6, 2008

For the second year in a row the Louis Dreyfus inland grain terminal filled to capacity its outdoor storage pile during last year's harvest. A pile like this one has far more that 200,000 bushel and the quality of last year's harvest was outstanding so this is a very valuable asset.

A couple of weeks ago serious wind damage occured baring the eastern portion of the pile and as a result you can see some discolouration on the top of the pile from the damage which include light rain and snow.

But, today this truck (below) was cycling back and forth moving the pile to the terminal and into a whole train of cars waiting to be loaded.
