Stone Geese
|
FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, December 21, 2004 |
Nipawin craftsman,
Norm Thomson (Rock Solid, 306 872-9207) had his booth at the Tisdale
Mall from Thursday night until Sunday and during that time he pretty well sold out
his stock of geese made from field stones drilled to handle legs and a neck made
of rebar.
Clearly, Norm must be an astute observer of Canada geese because his stone creations
look like geese only they are a little less likely to fly away even in a typical
Saskatchewan wind.
Along with various other neat and definitely creative products Norm had a line of
weathered barn siding furniture. This coffee tables and coat rakes are seen here
and on Monday afternoon as I was leaving the mall they too were almost all gone.
The unique can take many wonderful forms. |
