Standing on guard hollowed out

	"Oh Canada" is not a nationalistic anthem. Canada is not proclaimed as "the home of
	the brave", or "ruling the waves'", nor being "Uber Alles". Rather Canada is asked to
	inspire "true patriot love"."Oh Canada" is a hymn interceding with the Almighty to .
	"keep our land glorious and free"
	Anticipated reductions ending our navy's ability to supply itself independently (1), our air
	force's incapacity to transport our army and our coast guard vessels docked for want of
	fuel (2) leaving our coasts open to drug smuggling and illegal immigration are making
	our promise that "Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee" ever more hollow.
	Canada is a "glorious" land still, though just how free, when increasingly we rely on
	others to "stand on guard", is a question that must be faced.
