	Why Denmark for our former Minister responsible for Quebec?
	His love of Nordic culture?
	A desire to have someone able to relate well to the Danes?
	Former Minister Gagliano was not rewarded with a Senate seat, though of more importance that former Minister Duhamel. Neither was he cast into the backbenches as were Hedy Fry, Maria Minna and Jim Peterson.
	Why the ambassadorship, other than a convenient opening available at a moments notice?
	In any case "There's something rotten in the State of Denmark" will now have a literal as well as idiomatic meaning.
