An update--my Member of Parliament, John Finlay, stood up and voted in his best trained seal manner for this spending on long gun registration, masquerading as a public safety measure.
This evening billions of dollars have been allocated in interim spending, and the sad part is that taxpayers will not see one iota of change for their welfare, just an empty wallet.
Who is going to stop these madly spending fools?

Editor's note: | |||||||
Because this was a vote on money it was a matter of confidence and the government could not allow it to be defeated. Therefore the Prime Minister decreed that any Liberal member would be expelled from caucus if that member voted against the government. Four just didn't attend and two abstained from voting. The bill passed. |
