Paul Martin and the Tamil Eelam Society

good
fortune

Regrettably, the largely uninformed voter views Paul Martin as likely the next Prime Minister of Canada. Mr. Martin is the recipient of good fortune. As former prime minister, Brian Mulroney, once said :
"Michael Wilson planted the garden, Paul Martin got to pick the flowers."

hypocrisy

Not only is he favoured by good luck, but consider his much overlooked hypocrisy. There is great need to invent a better word for hypocrisy.

Let me explain. On October 3, 2001, the then finance minister, Paul Martin was a guest at a TAMIL EELAM Society fund raiser in Toronto. About that time, he announced in the Commons that the assets of a list of known terrorists organisations were to be frozen; but the TAMIL EELAM Society or other Tamil organisations were not named. It remains a mystery why this was so and Paul Martin to this day has offered no acceptable explanation. That's past, now we come to the present.

One year later, on November 11, 2002, the National Post reported :
"CSIS says Canada is one of the LTTE's (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) major sources of money. The group raises more than $2-million a year here through criminal activities and a handful of front organisations."

deadly

The report went on to say:
"The Oct. 2, 2002 report appears to have been prepared in anticipation that the Tigers might soon be banned under Canada's new counter-terrorism law, C-36. The LTTE is carrying out one of the most sophisticated and deadly insurgencies in the world."

terrorist

In assisting Sri Lankan terrorists to raise money, I accuse Paul Martin of not acting in the best interests of Canada. Paul Martin needs to be ousted.
