Once proud military

	The Liberal government in Ottawa is destroying our once proud military! We have all seen the signs - the inability to replace troops overseas, the borrowing of equipment from other armies, the fact that we cannot even transport our own troops to the places they need to be. And now, a report is saying that in as little as 18 months our military may not be able to function even at the current level.
	Some people say that we were never a military power. This is not true. At one time Canada had the third largest navy in the world.
	During World War II, Canada's military machine was one million strong - at a time when the population was only 11 million!!! Today, we cannot even rotate 800 troops in Afghanistan!
	All of this does not matter to our government, however. The Liberals, as a party, would rather spend our tax dollars on advertising programs, "cultural" events, and fountains in the Prime Ministers riding. At the same time they talk about preserving our sovereignty with these foolish programs, all the while allowing the United States to pick up the slack in defending North America from foreign threats.
