Five minute parking

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, April 18, 2007

The powers that be have determined that there needs to be signs in front of the post office angle parking area limiting the length of time to five minutes.

In the eleven years I have lived in Tisdale I have never seen anyone getting a parking ticket of any kind for any parking infraction. Of course in a civilised community you really don't need parking tickets as almost everyone is courteous and considerate of others when it comes to parking.

Ever since the installation of the angle parking in front of the Post Office the vehicles move in and out of the available spots with incredible regularity and it is a rarity to not find the best parking spot available everytime you go to the post office. Because of this it seems odd that town feels the need for a five minute parking sign.
