unthinking ideologues |
In reading the article "Native assimilation only answer(1)" I became disturbed about finding out |
the mentality of political scientist Tom Flanagan, a professor at the University of Calgary. Right
away I equated this Big Brain of a professor to the same level of our renown health economists(2),
and shared the thought of Ian Randell when he said "I found myself overwhelmed with a feeling
of sadness that we have entrusted the education of our children to such unthinking ideologues(3)."
malicious professors |
It is amazing to realize that at this time of societal changes we have such incompetent and |
malicious professors teaching our children. No wonder that we have a crumbling health care
system, no wonder that we have a crumbling reductionist educational system, no wonder that we
have a divided country, no wonder that we have a racist government, and no wonder that we have a
racist society. | |
assimilation |
Tom Flanagan is publishing the book "First Nations? Second Thoughts" and I am going to |
explain my outrage by providing some comments on the content of this book. Flanagan states
that Ottawa should promote the assimilation of Natives into Canadian society to break the cycle
of poverty on reserves; he says "Call it assimilation, call it integration, call it adaptation, call it
whatever you want: it has to happen."
shows |
This professor should be barred from teaching our children and certainly I don't want to see him |
around my sons. How can we ever have a dialogue with this professor when he shows his lunacy
by either telling us we are all stupid readers or by not being able himself to discern the different
meanings of the words 'assimilation', 'integration' and 'adaptation'. I find it in order to remind
professor Flanagan of the quote "First learn the meaning of what you say, and only then speak(4)."
work with the federal Justice Department |
Next, Flanagan states that at the time North America was 'discovered' the Natives were 5,000 years |
behind Europe. He says "It's not a judgement about the value of a people and their culture. It's an
objective description of a way of life(5)." This professor Flanagan is "uber alles", and therefore
there is no next comment to indulge on his writing and mentality without adding that he has
contract work with the federal Justice Department and that he has never visited a reserve.
Please don't read the book "First Nations? Second Thoughts" unless you have a toilette in front
of you. | |

The world has a vested interest in, a commitment to, not getting it.
