Saskatoons Brendaren Farms, North of Swift Current Friday, May 31, 2002 If nobody's buy's wheat at a profitable price then maybe there is something else that can be grown. Edwin Wallace has tried several crops and this year his eleven and half three hundred foot long rows of Saskatoons are in blossom today. This picture was taken last night and shows them bushes laden with blossoms. As we have noted this is a really dry year but to beat the drought Edwin has installed a drip irrigation system to nourish this crop. Edwin Wallace |
