Despite the steady rain this morning there were lots of customers shopping at St. Matthew's Anglican Church annual fall rummage sale. As is always the case this is a big sale with really a remarkable offering of goods from vegetables through to a bargain priced tread mill. Click on the pictures below and you and sample some of the things that shoppers were checking out and hauling out to their cars in boxes.
One interesting item is the kohlrabi plant shown at the top of the page. This relative of the cabbage and turnip family can be eaten raw or cooked as can its leaves which are equally as nutritious.
The sale runs all day Friday and until noon on Saturday and I can assure you that there will be plenty of things to shop for as this is a really big sale.
