Saturday night was extraordinary. After the racing was over for the day, the setting sun hi-lighted these cars with incredible brilliance. To walk amongst the cars, chat with the proud owners, and take a few pictures revealed to me what this racing experience was all about. It was in the evening that ideas, methods of construction and innovation, were exchanged. It would be here that I would marvel at Terry's true genius and accomplishment. He had made it here on a shoe string yet could run with best. Where many had simply financed their dreams, Terry had created or engineered whathe needed, out of spare parts and fabricated metal, revealing to his friends his 'true metal'.
