Produce clerk, senior check out clerk, when asked did not know who or what this lady was as she was in the Beeland Co-op's produce section yesterday diligently weigning and carefully recording the results on her clip board with a sheaf of papers. The produce clerk thought that maybe she was from Extra Foods and the senior check out clerk thought the same but did not know for sure. I know it seems obvious to go and just ask her what she is doing but that would have removed the mystery and turned something intriguing into the mundane. Mr. and Mrs. Carson came along and he thought it was interesting but Mrs. Carson immediately had a detailed theory explaining how the stores do extensive shopping in each other's stores to compare pricing and products. Meanwhile the lady just kept on weighing and recording.
