Overnight break-in deposits documents in storm sewer
|
|
FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, September 17, 2002 |
At
nine this morning the town foreman and crew were on hand to give the R.C.M.P. a hand.
This strong box had been removed from an undisclosed location and was found here
across the street from the SAAN store.
The box had been broke open and the contents dumped down the curb storm sewer.
No details were available as to the owner of the strong box or what location had
been broke into to obtain the item. |

The grate that secures a storm sewer actually weighs more than a hundred pounds so
it was quite a feat to remove it and dump the strong box's contents down the hole.
A portable electrical supply and vacuum cleaner were put to work to pick up the documents.
An unusual scene but the owner of the box will get most of the items that were in
it back. |
