St. Paul's
United Church
Improves Access
FTLComm - Tisdale - September 24, 1998
Over the summer Tisdale's St. Pauls has undergone some important renovations
to make the church more accessible. As you come up the ramp to the main entrance
the newly installed automatic door greets you allowing a wheeled member to roll right
on up the ramp to the main level.
The diagram below right describes the workings of the just installed elevator that
makes movement to the basement effortless. Rev.
Heather Anderson explained the importance of these new features as it continues to
expand the church's accessiblity to the membership.
The renovations also included rebuilding the washroom on main floor with the installation
of a change table and making the area spacious.

Within the church itself space has been created in several areas for wheel chair
parking that includes the wheeled member amidst the rest of the congregation. |
