Busker on main street

FTLComm - Tisdale - Monday, March 31, 2008

Singing and playing on a street corner is something we often see in big cities but this is a first for me in Tisdale to see a Busker on the main corner intersection downtown Tisdale today.

I have to admire the guy, it takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there and he chose an afternoon with the temperature on the sidewalk right close to freezing while it was -4ºC in the shade.

But it is spring, three geese have made it back and are waiting for the Doghide to spread out as it will in the coming week or two and there is a lightness in the air to go with the brilliant sunlight of the afternoon.

The optomism of spring is in every conversation. The Beeland Co-op bin yard is just humming as new bins are clattering together and I was talking to a friend today who is building a new house this summer and he said that Beeland Co-op has twelve confirmed hourse on order and six more tentative.

Though the low temperature is slowing the thaw in our minds its spring in Tisdale.
