This morning as I drove around Tisdale I decided to capture to
capture some scenes that give you an impression of what things were like.
First of all this morning was a winter morning with about 12 knots of wind and -21ºC
and the knowledge that this afternoon there was a weather advisory alerting us to
fairly substantial snowfall.
But as you can see, Tisdale folks were about their business for a Thursday morning,
although I think the high school was closed for an inservice or something because
the parking lot was empty.
Gas ranges in town from 89.9¢ to 84.9¢ and most businesses have their store
front Christmas trees up in place because this weekend is Midnight madness.
The beginning of the Christmas shopping season. I used to like it when we just had
Christmas, now we have the holiday season where commercial enterprise has replaced
the once and almost forgotten reason for the holiday.
