laRonge sunset

FTLComm - laRonge - Monday, October 27, 2003

Wednesday afternoon last week the day came to a very positive ending as Judy was out for a walk and was able to catch the sun setting and the sky come to life as its fading light transformed the stratocumulus castalanus into a display of colour and

texture.

There is no question in my mind that a sunset is one of the miracles of vision and of life for the painted sky is timeless. Skies like these can be seen around the world and have been seen around the world since the very beginnings of this planet. But it is for us each time we catch

a sunset we are reliving the same feelings and excitement that millions of us humans and perhaps other living things on this planet have also felt.

We can reflect on the day that has past, its advances and retreats and we can look beyond the sunset to the promise of a new day to come.

The cycle that moves us forward from one day to another, from sunrise each day to sunset each night has been part of our lives just the night that come after the sunset is our time of rest as we resolve and replenish ourselves for the dawn to come.
