Two crushers are working in the quarry South of Tisdale as ballast is being created
for the coming year. This pile on the East of Tisdale will be completed today as
a Humboldt contractor finishes up this stockpile of gravel to meet the demands of
the coming summer. Tisdale Royal Municipality is preparing for the normal maintenance
of its rural roads. While this project was underway Thursday the North East Regional Association of Rural Municipalities was meeting at the RecPlex. Their session got underway at 10:00 and went until 4:00 in the afternoon as the councillors for Lakeview, Lakeside, Kelvington, Ponass Lake, Spalding, Hudson Bay, Porcupine, Barrier Valley, Pleasantdale, Lake Lenore, Three Lakes, Bjorkdale, Tisdale, Star City, Flett's Springs, Invergordon, Arborfield, Connaught, Willow Cree, Kinistino, Birch Hills, Moose Range, Nipawin and Torch River spent the day together. After being welcomed by Tisdale's Mayor Rolly Zimmer they Deputy Tisdale Reeve Bob Jackson made the introductions and introduced department of highways speakers Greg Edgington and Lionel Pillar. Bob Mooney of Torchinsky Engineering spoke to the group as did Saskatchewan Muncipal Advisor Ken Kolb. There was an opportunity to discuss Gravel allocations go over some resolutions and go over some of the concerns for the S.A.R.M convention. |
